
The
DWCL Seal is the emblem of the school used for the
purpose of authentication and identification.
The
upper left section is the name of the society where
the institution belongs. It stands for Societas
Verbi Divini or Society of the Divine
Word who owns and manges the school. the Croos stands
for the evangelizing and missionary work of the
SVD Priests.
The
upper right section represents the province of Albay
with Mayon and the Cagsawa Ruins. The St. Raphael
bridge to the right of Mayon represents the City
of Legazpi. DWCL is located about 15 kilometers
from the foot of Mt. Mayon.
The
yellow rays at the center represent the different
course offerings of the college including its Elementary
and High School curricula.
The
open book with a lighted torch symbolizes the quality
of education, wisdom and knowledge being imparted
by DWCL.
the
school's motto is DUC IN ALTUM.
Every DWCL student and employee are expected to
live up to this motto of AIMING HIGH, STRIVING HARD
and LOVING MUCH.
The
High School Color
DWCL-HS
is identified with WHITE and GRAY colors. White
stands for purity and symbolizes the distinctive
character and identify of DWCL as an academic Christian
Community. Gray symbolizes intellegence and wisdom
which every Divinian is expected to develop while
undergoing education with DWCL.
