The Guidance and Testing Center Headed by Ms. Marylendra Penetrante in cooperation with the Student Affairs Office and the different employment agencies/companies spearheaded the Annual Career Fair/Career Guidance for Graduating Students last January 18-19, 2008 at the College Campus. This Event was also participated by some government agencies in order to assist the students with the necessary requirements in preparation for their employment. The following were the above mentioned agencies: 1.) Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) fo their TIN, 2.) National Bureau of Investigation for their NBI Clearance, 3.) Social Security System (SSS), 4.) National Statistics Office (NSO) for their Birth Certificate. A total of 40 companies and agencies participated in the said job fair. There were 22 applicants who were directly hired and 231 shortlisted applicants.

On October 15, 2007, the DWCL College of Arts and Sciences, in coordination with the Research Center, conducted a Public Poll to monitor the perceptions and opinions of the Legazpeños on economic, political, environmental, good governance and social issues. Field work for the said poll started on October 27, 2007 which involved a group of 16 Field Interviewers and Research Assistants who were faculty and staff of the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education, College of Business Education and College of Engineering and Computer Studies. They visited randomly selected barangays in Legazpi City and conducted interviews among the residents. On December 21, 2007, all interviews were completed and all questionnaires were submitted for Data Coding and Encoding. Currently all data are being processed, analyzed and interpreted. The results of the said poll will be ready for presentation to the public at 5pm on February 1, 2008 at the DWCL Audio Visual Hall. On that day, the Poll Project Team will formally present to the public, which includes, government offices, businessmen, school officials and academicians, church officials, and other stakeholders, the official results of the poll survey.
