Credentials for Admission
New
Students
Every student seeking admission
for the first time must submit the following:
Form 138 for fourth year high school
graduate, duly certified by the principal. Only
graduate of a recognized high school with a final
grade of preferably 80% in English, Math and Natural
Science shall be considered for enrollment in any
of the degree courses the college offers.
A certificate of conduct and good
moral character from the principal of the school
where he graduated.
The qualifying rating of the specified
entrance examination given by the DWCL Guidance
and Counseling Office.
Three 1"X1" ID picture.
Students enjoying Philippine Veterans
Administration (PVA) or United States Veterans Administration
(USVA) educational benefits shall be enrolled only
upon submission of their eligibility certificates.
(This requirement is also applicable to transferees).
Authenticated Copy of Live Birth
Certificate.
Marriage contract for married female
enrollee.
Transfer
Students
Transfer students are those who
wish to enroll in DWCL after having taken courses
from another school. Former college students of
the College returning to DWCL after having enrolled
in other institutions are also considered transfer
students. At the time of enrollment, a transferee
must submit the following credentials:
A certificate of transfer credential
from the school last attended.
A statement of good moral character
signed by the Dean or Head and/or Coordinator of
Student Affairs of the school last attended.
An informative copy of the transcript
of records, which should include the descriptive
title of the subjects taken, the grades and the
number of units, earned.
Three 1"X1" ID pictures.
Permit-to-study is needed if the
student intends to enroll for a specific school
term only. Required are:
Authenticated copy of Live Birth
Certificate.
Marriage contract for married female
enrollee.
Continuing
or Old Students
Students previously enrolled in
the college either in the immediately preceding
semester or after having stopped but did not enroll
elsewhere.
Rating card issued by the Registrar's
Office of the semester, or summer immediately preceding
the enrollment, or last term attended must be presented
together with the registration forms.
Students with two or more failing
marks in a semester will not be allowed to re-enroll
except on valid reasons as recommended by the respective
Dean and approved by the school President.
Cross-Enrollees
Students temporarily allowed by
other institutions to take subjects at DWCL.
A permit from his/her school allowing
him/her to attend classes at DWCL, stating therein
the subjects to be taken in order to be validly
enrolled. However, DWCL reserves the rights to admit/refuse
a cross-enrollee based on existing policies and
requirements.
This permit is only valid for a
particular semester or summer term as the case may
be.
Student
Fees
For the information of both parents
and students, the Finance Office announces and prints
in advance the fees to be paid by the students.
The Finance Office shall make proper
information dissemination for student fee adjustments.
In cases where consultation is required, such shall
be conducted within the prescribed period as mandated.
This helps in the assessment of the fees when a
student enrolls.
Payment
A discount of 5% is granted to cash
payment of tuition fees for the whole semester,
if paid within one week from the first day of classes.
Payment of fees may be made on installment
but subject to existing rules and policies by the
school.
Late enrollees shall pay an additional
registration fee.
Any student who drops from course
shall immediately secure the pertinent form from
the Registrar's Office. Accomplishes and presents
the form, to the instructor/s (if classes have already
started) for their information, then to the Dean
for approval; then to the Registrar who in turn
submits the duplicate to the Finance Office for
proper adjustment/s of the student's accounts. The
charges are as follows:
For
regular school year:
10% of tuition fee if dropping within
the first week of classes
20% of tuition fee if dropping within the second
week of classes
100% of tuition fee if dropping after the second
week of classes
For
summer classes:
10% of tuition fee if dropping within
three days from the first day of classes
20% of tuition fee if dropping within six days from
the first day of classes
100% of tuition fee if dropping on the seventh day
and thereafter from the first day of classes
The above schedule shall also apply to students
who drop a subject or subjects whether or not the
classes are attended.
Miscellaneous and incidental fees are chargeable
in full.
Discounts
Discounts on tuition fees shall
be given to brothers/sisters enrolled in 18 units
or more.
One-two brothers/sisters - 5% each
Three-four brothers/sisters - 10% each
Free tuition fee shall be given
to one of the five or more brothers/sisters enrolled
in the elementary/high school/college level, whoever
is the youngest. However, the other enrolled brothers/sisters
can no longer avail of any tuition fee discounts.
Discounts will only be granted when
properly applied for by each brother or sister upon
registration or not later than one month in the
first semester, and one week in the second semester
from the first day of classes, otherwise, the right
to such discount will automatically be forfeited.
During summer classes, only cash
discount could be availed and application under
this regulation should be accomplished during the
first week of classes only.
Application
forms for discounts are available at the Finance
Office only during the period herein above stated.
